Irises and Columbines

A recent post included reference to us visiting Tijara Iris Nursery in Burra.  This post will show some of the offspring from previous visits plus a few other irises growing in our place.

We decided that as the new purchases were about to flower we would leave them as pot plants, on our deck so that we could see them clearly.  They'll go into the garden when they have calmed down.

We also have a small (leaky) pond in which I placed a couple of Yellow Flag irises.  After 3 years they have multiplied nicely.
The garden at Tijara also contained a lot of Columbines (aka Aquilegia) which also grow well here (and are attractive) so some images of that plant follow.
