Platypus in the flooded Queanbeyan River

I have previously posted  about platypuses in the Queanbeyan river.  So I thank Robin Hide (who was also my original informant about them) for drawing this letter to the Editor of the Canberra Times to my attention.
Well done also to R K Flynn of Queanbeyan!

This has been reported to the Australian Platypus Conservancy  who have advised that it is not unusual to see 'puses around in floods.  The big question is whether they stay around afterwards.  Watch this blog.
